You may place an order to purchase a product advertised on the website by following the onscreen prompts after clicking on the item of interest. You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until the point at which you submit your order by clicking the ‘Place Order’ button on the final checkout page. After submitting an order to us, you will be sent an order acknowledgement email with details of the products you have ordered. Please note this email is an acknowledgement only and not an acceptance of your order. All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. If your order includes products which are not available from stock, we will contact you by email or telephone. You will have the option to wait until the goods are available from stock or to cancel the order. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us will take place once payment has been received. As the majority of our trade is live bees we cannot be accurate with dispatch / collection dates, we are under no obligation to supply within a specific time frame due to the nature of the trade. The customer understands that we have a duty by law to notify APHA (Animal and Plant Health Agency) of your purchase, if requested, under the terms of the Bee Diseases and Pests Control (England) Order 2006, and that our collection and use of this information complies with the terms of the Data Protection Act.
Prices & Payment
All prices are in pounds (£) sterling. Prices may change at any time prior to, but not after, acceptance of your order. We cannot accept your order until you have paid for it in full, or your deposit has been paid. In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on the website, we will contact you by telephone or email. If you are not happy to proceed with the order at the correct price, we will cancel the order. We are not obliged to supply products at the incorrect price.
Any claims whatsoever of any kind, including shortages, unsatisfactory quality etc, must be notified to us within two days of receiving the item(s). BS Honey Bees warrants that where applicable the goods are at the time of supply within usual tolerances as to quality/satisfaction will replace or refund (at its option) the price of any goods which do not comply with this warranty to the maximum of the price invoiced for the goods.
Cancellations and Returns
You may cancel your order (or any part of it) at any point before products are delivered/collected. You may do so either by notifying us by email (contact us), or phone, giving your full name, address and order details, and by returning the product(s). You may not cancel your order if the product has been customised or made to your own specifications unless the products were faulty or damaged when delivered to you. Where you decide to cancel an order after it has been despatched, you will be under a duty to return them to us at your own risk and cost. All such goods should be returned within 14 days of your cancelling the order. Until such time as they are returned you must retain possession of the products and take care of them. You should return the product(s) to us as you received it (except to the extent reasonably necessary to examine them). Any moneys taken in deposits are completely non-returnable - under the Distance Selling Regulations bees are perishable items. Only in the event we are unable to supply you are entitled to a full refund. Any replacement items (queens/nucleus/packages/hives) are to be fully returned at the buyers expense as received, and examined by us to inspect your problem and authenticity of your problem before a refund or replacement is supplied by us. If we have a suspicion that you have returned a different item to that supplied by us, or we feel the item has been incorrectly mistreated you will not be eligible for a refund or replacement. After we have confirmed your claim we will refund you within 14 days.
Postage of Live Bees
You hearby understand that postage of live bees is taken at the risk of the customer. Whilst we do insure each shipment to its appropriate value we consistantly hear reports of couriers mishandling of live bees. It is unfortunate to say we cannot offer any come backs if you choose to have your bees posted. We would always reccomend to collect your bees where at all possible. It is your responsibility to provide proof of time delays or damaged consignments to us via email within 24 hours.
